Data Acquisition & Controls Engineering Manager
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or similar technical discipline
- At least 2 years' experience leading a science or engineering team in a fast-paced research or industrial environment
- At least 8 years' experience in hands-on individual contributor roles related to at least two of the following areas: software engineering of data-oriented services, industrial controls and data acquisition, science research metrology, electronics engineering
- Experience mentoring engineers in technical disciplines and career development
- Experience interacting with scientists and engineers in rapidly changing industrial or research facilities
- At least 2 years' experience leading a team with a specific focus on data acquisition, instrumentation, and/or controls
- Competency in administration of Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence
- Proven track record of managing projects through inception, design, review, commissioning, and enhancement
- Experience interacting with scientists and engineers on large scale industrial or research facilities, such as particle accelerators or power plants
- Knowledge of pertinent regulatory, electrical, and safety standards from NRC, ANSI B11, NFPA, OSHA, IEC, ISO, WAC
- Diverse technical skills and capabilities to fill organizational skills gaps if needed

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $150K-200K. Candidates may be considered for other positions at Zap Energy and the actual salary will be based on relevant education, experience, and other qualifications. The range is published in accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act.
